A favorite aunt of ours (kudos to Aunt Cathy) is famous in the family for making Coca-Cola Cake.  She shared the recipe with us many years ago but can't remember what I did with it.  Elise was in the store the other day and found the Coca-Cola cookbook.  Sure enough it had the recipe for the Coca-Cola Cake.  We don't know if it's the same one as Aunt Cathy's, but if it is, we sure know why it was a popular recipe.  This cake was full of chocolatey goodness, very moist and the frosting reminded me of old fashioned butter chocolate frosting.  Definitely a treat for us and can't wait until we have it again. *hint, hint* Elise!!! ;)

  1. I love that last picture makes you want to grab it and eat it. I have seen recipes for coca cola cake before but never with marshmellows. My kids will love this.

  3. Polwig, that picture really came out amazing. I just put the camera (Blackberry) over it and shot the picture. It looks like it's floating and I didn't do anything to give it that effect. It's almost all gone, there one piece left and I'm sad. Paula, it's my pleasure to give you a walk down memory lane :) I didn't have it when I was little (not that I can remember) but my daughter was due to Aunt Cathy making it. Elise has been wanting to make it for quite a while so she was absolutely thrilled to have found the recipe.
