Help! Yes, I mean it. This is the address plaque on our house. It needs some work, tweaking, updating or better yet, an overhaul?
For one: It can't be seen from the street. Two: It's old. So, any suggestions are welcome and I look forward to hearing from you :)

What about painting a new address plaque? Find numbers in a font you like and trace them onto a board/drawer front/cabinet door/pallet wood. I especially like them with a bit of shadow to make them pop! Super easy and simple to customize to your style.
ReplyDeleteGosh, sounds like I should do a blog post on it, lol! Seriously, I'm looking into making some signs for our local nursery this summer :)
Hey saw you @ Dawn's Creative Cain Cabin Budget Decor Party,I've been looking at your beautiful cooking, and reading old post,I was looking for "follow" but can't find,I can't wait to see what you do with your street sign,Meadowsweet Cottage in the above suggestion sounds awesome. This project is so much fun...looks like those are brass, can you get those numbers off?...you could tape/cover inside of board paint the rim bright color paint, then paint the numbers that same bright color,tape/cover the rim of board(after it is completely dry)paint the inside of board a bright contrasting color, let dry and replace the numbers. What ever you do I can't wait for you to share!!!!

Thank you so much ladies, I can't wait to get started on my address plaque! You're suggestions are great and I will make sure to post an updated picture. I just hope I do it right. Jo May I'm not sure why you can't see the "follow" button. I can see it from my end. Try it again and let me know. You can email me at mzzbev@gmail.com. Have a blessed day ladies :)
ReplyDeleteI am assuming you want to use what you already have? Is there anyway to attach it to your door right under the window. If so I would remove the numbers and paint them black, and attach them to your door, that way they will pop against the door color. Thanks for linking up at the Cabin.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea about putting it under the door window! I never thought of that. Thanks so much! :)
