Asparagus with Romano Cheese by Ina Garten

1 bunch fresh asparagus
Olive oil
1/2 - 3/4 cup fresh Romano Cheese (or Parmesan), shredded
Kosher salt

Set oven broiler on high

Spread the asparagus across a cookie sheet

Drizzle with olive oil

Sprinkle with salt and then the cheese.  

Place in oven, under broiler for about 5 minutes keeping close watch (do not walk away) as it's easy to burn these if you're not careful.  Once the cheese starts to brown, they're ready to take out.  If they're not browned after 5 minutes, add a minute at a time until they're browned.  Voila!  They're done!  It's as simple as that!  Enjoy!  

I have always loved asparagus but it's been tough to get hubby.  He did eat some tonight but he only ate the tips, so I guess you can say we're making progress ;)  ~isavortheweekend
