Prepping for the BIG Day

What BIG day you ask?

Why, Super Bowl Sunday of course in three weeks on February 3rd.

This weekend there will be four games.

Next weekend there will be two games, in which the winners from those two games will head to Super Bowl XLVII.

I have three weeks to prepare, do some research on what kind of dishes I'll be preparing.  See, the way we do it at our house, we prepare dishes that represent the town from where each team comes from.  Check out our menu from last years Super Bowl here when the New England Patriots played the New York Giants.

In the above image, I have placed a red check next to the teams I believe will win this weekends games.  It's going to be fun to see how well I did on my picks.

I predict that New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks will make it to the Super Bowl.  If so, that means it will be a seafood feast!!

Who are you picking to win the Super Bowl?

Have a blessed weekend and remember to savor every moment!

  1. I think you've made just about the same picks I would make were I making.

However - - - I'd REALLY like to see the Pats lose. Once a Colts fan, always a Pats hater.

    1. Well, I'm 0-2. Will be interesting what today brings. I liked it when Tony Dungy led the Colts to the Super Bowl and won a few years back. But because our daughter is a humungous Pats fan, it has rubbed off on us. I do hope they make it but with my bad choice picks this weekend, I'm beginning to wonder and worry.

  2. I will NEVER be a Pat's fan - - - unless Russell Wilson somehow ends up there, which I DO NOT see coming.

I see you got one out of three - - - which was ONE MORE than I got because even when I think the Pat's will probably win it all, I WILL NOT pull for them.

One more thing about your Football 101 for "girlie girls" (I added the girlie girls part myself) - - - ENTHUSIASM.

Let YOUR love for the game shine through - - - that will "attract" them more than anything. It is MOST important that they get enough of the "basics" to stop seeing it as something BORING that their hubby/boyfriend has on TV.

Then of course - - - there ARE a few hubbies who are BORED with how much football their WIFE watches. Sigh.

    1. Wow! You do hate the Pats about as much as I detest Pete Carroll. Great advice and as much as I love to smile, I pray my nerves don't show through. I do love the game, I do love the season so there should be no problem, right? ;) that's hilarious that you're hubby isn't crazy about football as much as you are. I'm fortunate, my hubby loves it and is always there to help me understand. Thanks again. I'll let you know how it goes. -Bev.
