I don't know if I'm doing this right as far as taking them indoors and putting them in water. I just know I didn't want to leave them behind.
This blossom bloomed shortly after I had put it in water.
The scent from one of these blossoms is so strong and potent, I love that the scent is an "air freshener" in my house. There have been many times I have walked out the front door and the front lawn is full of this wonderful heavenly scent. I'm so pleased with this tree, I truly love it.
There's nothing like the scent of a Magnolia. We are lucky to live where thrive. Enjoy those blooms and the heavenly scent.
ReplyDeleteYou are so fortunate to be able to grow magnolia trees! I'd love to but zone 3b is not conducive. I am trying a Royal Star magnolia but each winter it dies back, even though it had been covered in a thick mulch. This spring it came back from the root. That's how much it died back. I haven't given up on it yet, though.
