Yum Yum Sauce

This recipe tastes better if made the night before so that all the ingredients have time to "marry" :)
1 tsp. tomato paste
1 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. paprika
1 1/4 cups mayonnaise
1 tsp. sugar
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1/4 cup water

Whisk all the ingredients until well blended and smooth.  Cover and refrigerate overnight.

So who out there can't have enough of that white sauce they serve at Japanese Steakhouses otherwise known as "Yum, Yum Sauce", at least that's what they call it here in our town??

I planned on making Chicken Stir Fry for dinner last night and thought how wonderful it would be if I could serve it with that creamy, delicious Yum Yum Sauce they serve at Kyoto's and other Japanese steak houses in the area.  So, I looked up the recipe online and sure enough I found it at All Recipes!!  Looking at all the ingredients I was so thrilled that I didn't have to stop by the store on my way home,YAY!!

Hubby says it was delicious . . . . .

Even my biggest critic was impressed (my finicky daughter)

I was so thrilled to have enough leftover to bring to work the next day.  So since the sauce did have time to "marry" WOW!!  It was better, so much that I think I'll reward me with the Blue Ribbon :)

So I know this isn't the healthiest sauce to eat with all the mayo and butter it has in it but you deserve to treat yourself every now and then, right?  Go ahead, just eat it in moderation ;)

  1. You had me at 'Yum.'
Around these parts, we call that 'Pink Sauce'. Frys just aren't as good with out it!
    Come by and say 'Hi.'

  2. Yum! Yum! I haven't been to Kyoto in a long time. Isn't it nice to make something that doesn't require a shopping trip??

  3. I just was typing an email to you and noticed that your setting are "no reply", so I'm pasting what I typed here so you'll see it. This is in response to my nail post.

I bought some at CVS on OFR and some a Walgreens on Ward's Rd. My friend at school tells me that they are cheaper at Walmart and Target. When I removed my first set, my nails were fine.

  4. Thx Paula, I'm not sure why that happened but I'll go back into my settings to see what's going on. Thanks so much for the info and I'm planning on stopping by the stores within the next day or two! :)
